Technical Support Technician (Hardware)

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Support Technician to keep our fleet of autonomous robotic vending machines running at peak performance. This is a hardware-first role: you will diagnose, repair, and maintain real machines — motors, sensors, control boards, wiring, and mechanical assemblies — while also guiding customers through troubleshooting by phone and remote tools.

Hands-on hardware experience is a must. We are looking for someone who has opened up machines, replaced components, and traced faults on physical systems — not software-only support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hardware issues on robotic vending machines — mechanical assemblies, motors, sensors, wiring, and control boards
• Provide technical support for deployed machines via phone, email, and remote tools
• Perform preventive maintenance, refurbishment, and quality checks on machines at our Brooklyn facility
• Support installations and on-site fixes when needed
• Work closely with R&D and engineering to report recurring failures and improve machine reliability
• Document repairs and troubleshooting steps in our internal knowledge base

Required Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with hardware — repairing, assembling, or maintaining physical machines, electronics, or electromechanical systems (a must)
• Experience in technical support or customer-facing troubleshooting — strong advantage
• Comfortable with hand tools, multimeters, and basic electrical diagnostics
• Able to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Clear communicator — can walk non-technical customers through technical steps
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple open issues at once
